Week 9 Blog Reflection

We finally finished our work, We put our work in the hall to finish our final presentation. It took us a lot of effort and time to finish this project, and we were all very happy about our project. It is very easy to understand and has a lot of detail.

Final Learning Reflection

1. Planning

Our Project Planner (Milestone 1) - link or embed the doc

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Xvd4wksp7qeBwEgw3GhSwlNpswY8lp-Og0OkAew1Cqw/edit

Looking back at the planning we did at the start, I think… We should've focused more on a different topic instead of the one we have right now because

theirs only one kind of energy that can power Otaki and that's solar.

Having had the experience of this project, if I was planning another project I would…

Start thinking what the most beneficial idea for Otaki.

2. Process

Links to our Group Planners:

Time management and workflow

Looking back at how well we planned and recorded each week's and day's work and managed our time, I think…. We did pretty well at managing the project it was well-planned and well-detailed

Another time, I would… Changed the topic

Collaborative skills

Considering how our group managed our relationships, discussions, and decisions, and how we shared and contributed to the work, I think… Everyone put a lot of effort into the project and put a lot of time into the project so everyone contributes a lot.

In the future, I would… Try to design the board more

3. Research

Our Research Process (Milestone 2) - link or embed the doc

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xG7CrKORGv7fE6ZyIe6CuxXwwdXnRrwU9VSdUg_8Vgs/edit

Looking at our research and comparing it to what other groups did, I think…We all did a different kind of research and we all had a different kind of topic.

Another time, I would… Change a more straight ford topic

4. Planning and Preparing our Presentation

Our Presentation Ideas (Milestone 3)  - link or embed the doc

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kkKQSmjKXIQwZ9ZIlqQFINjH_eUp_DidIyAls6TP73w/edit

Looking back now at how we planned and prepared our presentation, I think… It was very well-planned it has a lot of detail but we should've designed the board on which we put our presentation on

Another time, I would… Design the board so it won't look so plain

5. Showcase Day

Our Presentation (Final Product/s)

Embed or link all the slideshows and docs you created - your finished products.

Include photos or videos.

Include a photo of your display board or your display at the Showcase Day.

Looking back on Showcase Day, you might want to consider some of the following questions:

What worked well for Showcase Day, and why?

The board because it's very easy to understand

What didn't work well and why? The solar panel we have to change it to a solar oven

Did you vote on the projects? Yes Why or why not? Because some of them were very good

Did you have a team member with your display at all times? Yes Why or why not? Because they could understand what our project was and the member who was displaying was Jayden Saul

Did you stay and talk about your project? No Why/Why not? Because it was too hot

Were you able to answer visitor questions? Some

My positives for Showcase Day were it was really fun because…. There are different kinds of presentations and each has their own unique ways

Another time, I would… Look at other presentations and improve our presentation

6. Reflection on the Project

a) What skills did you use, learn, or develop during this project that will be helpful in your life beyond school? We made a solar oven to show how to create energy and made a board to explain.

b) Would you like to do more of this kind of learning next year? Nope, no way it to boring

c) What did you learn from this process that will help with future projects? How to present a board and have a brief idea of what am i doing.

d) What advice would you give to the teachers if they are running this or something similar in the future? Try your best and get an idea of what you are doing.
